Hello Tucson! I want to introduce you guys to mobile payments. If you guys don't now what mobile payments are it's a way to pay for items with your phone. It works by using something called NFC or Near Field Communication, this chip lets your phone communicate with the reader. Mobile payments works with most Android devices running 4.4 kitkat and iPhone 6. Android uses an app called Android pay, formerly known as Google wallet just with more loyalty cards. Apple uses Apple pay which is just like Android pay but with for iPhones.
Now, where do you use it? Mobile payments are not that popular in America, yet. Mobile payment has been growing ever since late last year. Today I realized that more businesses are bringing mobile payment terminals to their stores like Cinemark Theaters. The Cinemark Theaters at El Con mall just brought mobile payment terminals into the theater so you can buy a movie ticket, popcorn and a drink with a tap of your phone.
If you look at the Apple pay and Android pay webpages it would say to look for their logo or this symbol. I would just look at this logo because all of the businesses have this logo.
If you guys don't know which store accept mobile payment I would download the MasterCard paypass locator for Android or look at their website online.
